The Story of Kidlet
The Need
Urvashi Jain, one of Kidlet’s founders had her daughters attending a great school, and she did everything possible to provide them the opportunities to do well. She wanted to be involved in their learning and help them excel. She wanted her children to achieve great things!
Her children’s schools were, however, unable to tell her their specific learning gaps and improvement areas. As a parent, she wanted to understand those minute details to make sure she could help her children and get faster and more impactful outcomes. And this is the story of every parent.
The Solution
This is when Urvashi partnered with her brother Ritesh to design a solution that would not only highlight the accurate learning needs of every child, but will also empower teachers, parents, and schools to bridge existing gaps with the right resources and tools. And so Kidlet was born.

Kidlet is now the go-to solution for teachers, parents and schools who are benefitted by the real-time data on learning outcomes provided by the app. This comprehensive solution enables students to reinforce learning easily, provides teachers with continuous, accurate assessment and also facilitates customized teaching-learning approach in schools and educational institutions.

Urvashi Jain is a Chartered Accountant (rank-holder), based in Mumbai. After working at KPMG, she took up teaching as a profession to fulfill her passion in the field of education. Being a professor for more than a decade, Urvashi has a rich experience of having trained more than 3,000 students aspiring to qualify as chartered accountants, specializing in the field of commerce, financial reporting, and financial management.

Ritesh Kala is an MBA from one of India’s premier institutions. He has since worked for companies such as Citibank and PwC, and spent over 8 years in the investment banking industry. Ritesh believes in the power of learning, and is always on the lookout for learning from customers to make Kidlet better. He has a knack for going down product improvement rabbit holes, and coming up with ideas to improve user experience and customer value.

Ravindra Kala has over 40 years of experience managing the finance and operations of mid-sized companies across multiple industries. He has a strong background in finance, operations, taxation and accounting and fund raising. In his previous avatars, he has helped companies scale operations over multi-year growth plans. He has an eye for detail, and can be a strict taskmaster where quality of delivery are concerned.

Manish Atkekar has over 20 years of experience in the education technology sector. He has worked on managing sales, marketing and franchise development for education companies and many successful technology products. At Kidlet, Manish heads the school outreach and sales program, and is responsible for onboarding schools in Maharashtra. Manish also leads the government interface program at Kidlet.

Aparna Adsul is a B.A Graduate from Mumbai. With a work experience of around 15years, she has worked in operations from the beginning of her career. She has worked in managing school operations, and is the go-to person for any user needs. Being a mother to a young son, Aparna understands the struggles of a parent in understanding her child’s academic progress. Kidlet gave her to opportunity to explore how education could evolve and grow.

Rakesh Patel is a Science graduate with over 24 years of Sales & Marketing experience and is an accomplished professional skilled in Sales and Customer Relationship Management. He has been in Edtech Business for 12 + years. Before joining Kidlet he worked with Educational Initiatives, Alembic Ltd & Navneet Motors Ltd. According to him, a disciplined approach to "Systems & Processes" is a key Mantra for Success.

Kidlet's Journey
2018
The seed of Kidlet as a concept is planted, and the idea begins to take shape.
Kidlet as a product is conceptualized to work inside the classroom and help students learn better while lowering the burden of teachers. Kidlet starts growing and taking shape.
2019
2020
Covid hits and all schools are shut down. Schools and learning move online, and with that every school, teacher, and parent is looking for a solution to ensure learning continues. In the midst of this, Kidlet’s current avatar is born. We piloted the program in schools in 2020 and got an amazing response from teachers and students.
Kidlet introduces the Kidlet apps for Teachers and Students. Kidlet expands to reach more schools. Kidlet partners with Plan India to provide the system for the Birds and Bees Talk program across the entire Northeast India.

Kidlet grows to work with both private and public schools. We now create a positive impact for hundreds of teachers and thousands of students.
